The Facts
“There are today 264 million children and youth not going to school – this is a failure that we must tackle together, because education is a shared responsibility and progress can only be sustainable through common efforts. According to the report representing 90 percent of the global population of upper secondary school age, less than one in four young people had completed upper secondary school in 40 countries and less than one in two in 60 countries … there were only 14 countries with a completion rate of at least 90 percent.”

Vision Statement
Our vision at the Bernadette Francis Foundation is to close the education gap by providing financial support to students who otherwise will have difficulty completing their education. We believe deeply that education is instrumental in lifting not only students, but their families, and entire communities out of poverty.

Applications for the school year will be accepted between June - July 2024.
Scholarships will be awarded in mid-August 2024.
We will consider off-cycle applications on a case-by-case basis.
Choose the application that is correct for you. Apply as a student, small organization, or someone who needs emergency relief. Answer all of the questions to the best of your ability and in its entirety. Partially completed applications will not be accepted. Please also note that our primary focus is financial assistance for students.
